    Delhi University has set up a nine-member committee to examine the feasibility of implementing periodic performance reviews of its employees. This is in line with a central govt notification that allows premature retirement of staff deemed underperforming or lacking integrity. The panel, headed by executive council (EC) member Indra Mohan Kapahi, will assess whether such a policy can be adopted within the university framework.

    ​The new guidelines state only students from schools run by the same management and located on the same premises as the junior colleges, will be eligible for in-house quota seats. Many junior colleges in the city, which also have schools run by the same management, do not operate from the same premises. They are either in the vicinity or a few kilometres away. The rule has been notified in the information booklet released by the school education department.
